The first quail.....
Bello and his new owner
Matt Norman / UT
Just a quick note about Bello vom Sternberg ( aka Mater ).  Mater has now finished up his first
season of hunting at 9 months old. We have covered 4 states, 12 species of birds,87 days of
hunting and thousands of miles traveled. Mater has been on hundreds of wild birds this season and
has learned how to handle himself in the field and manners on game. I have seen him on occasion
circle high on a hill above a covey of running Chukars and hold them until I can approach for the
shot. He has definitely earned a spot in my hunt team as a strong dog. His nose carries him through
the field along with his brain and instincts directing him on how to handle the birds. On our last hunt
of the season he showed his talent and drive to be a big running, hard hunting dog and showed off
his pointing skills on a covey of Huns. He has thus far been a self trainer and easy retriever of
game. A friendly dog to all both human and canine and a dog that will turn heads with his looks.
Thanks for such a great dog and I look forward to another dog from your kennel.

Thanks,
Matt Norman
