| I grew up in a hunting family in Aschaffenburg Germany and began hunting with my Grandfather at the age of 10. The picture above is of "Sternberg" (Star mountain), the landmark mountain of the town I grew up in and my kennel is named after. I moved to the US in 2006. The wide open spaces, variety of game, availability of hunting areas, access to public land and hunting opportunities greatly excited me. After I moved to Central Oregon a new hunting dog was needed and I acquired a male Deutsch-Drahthaar puppy. Upon my return and after my first experiences with the Deutsch-Drahthaar I made the decision to purchase a related brood bitch from the same bloodlines as the cornerstone of my breeding program. My intention is to breed the best hunting dogs possible for myself and other hunters, focusing on temperament, ability and confirmation. |
